Spalding Christmas Celebration
Friday 29th November 5pm - 9pm in Spalding Town Centre
Residents and visitors can get into the festive spirit in Spalding on Friday 29th November, as the popular Christmas Celebration event returns, including live entertainment, vintage fair rides, fancy dress competition, food, gifts, crafts, charity stalls and more!
Running from 5pm until 9pm in Spalding town centre and organised by South Holland District Council's Communities Team, there will be a chance for visitors to get their Christmas shopping done early with local traders, alongside additional festive-themed stalls selling gifts, crafts and tasty food. Some town centre shops will also be marking the occasion by staying open throughout the evening. The list of shops offering late night shopping consists of:
Penningtons Coffee Shop open until 9pm
Robert Goddard open until 8pm and offering refreshments from 5pm along with Black Friday discounts in store
Holland & Barrett open until 9pm
The Original Factory Shop open until 9pm
Charmed Interiors open until 7.30pm with Black Friday discounts 20% off EVERYTHING
Molsoms open 5pm - 8pm for browsing and general chat with staff - operating locked door policy like normal but all welcome
My Local Health Store (Real Pharm Shop) open until 8pm with 15% discount off EVERYTHING
Coocumber open until 9pm with 15% off Sugarhill Brighton clothing - also offering mince pies and chocolate to customers!!
Penmans open until 8pm with seasonal Black Friday offers across the whole store
There will also be plenty of activities and entertainment to take part in including:
- A chance to meet Buddy the Elf, festive Tinkerbell AND Olaf!
- There will be a vintage swingboat ride and Chair-o-plane
- Street entertainment including some of the cast of this year's South Holland Centre pantomime - Snow White
- LED Frosty Stiltwalker
- Live entertainment from the stage all evening including choirs, brass bands, singers and dancers
- Free craft activities
- Free Balloon Modelling
- Santa's Grotto in Calthrops Solicitors brought to residents by the Chairman Councillor Andrew Woolf
- Fancy dress competition at 7pm at the stage with great prizes including the winner getting to turn on the beautiful Christmas lights
For the safety of the event there will be road closures in place for Market Place & Hall Place from 12pm until 10pm
