Q. I have been on the register of interest list for some time. When am I likely to be offered a place on the Garden Waste Collection Service?

Q. How will I know I can join the Garden Waste Collection Service?

A.The Garden Waste Team contact residents using the details you provided when you joined the register of interest list. It is vital you provide accurate contact details and update the Garden Waste Team of any changes to your original entry by emailing garden.waste@sholland.gov.uk.

The Garden Waste Team aim to contact residents using email and provide you with a unique, time restricted, authorisation link offering you the opportunity to join the Garden Waste Collection Service.

If you do not have access to email you can still register your details on the register of interest list by visiting our website or by phoning our customer contact team. When a space then becomes available and you have been reached on the register of interest list the Garden Waste Team would then contact you by telephone or in writing.

Q. What happens if my unique link has expired?

A.The link is time sensitive and will expire if not used before the expiration date, to prevent your opportunity to join the scheme from being lost, please ensure you use your link within the set timescale as detailed in your email or letter. Failure to do so will result in you being removed from the list and you will have to register again.

In exceptional circumstances, please contact the Garden Waste Team at garden.waste@sholland.gov.uk explaining any delay in taking up the offer.

Q. My area is not covered by the Garden Waste Collection Service, how can I dispose of my Garden Waste?

A.Whilst it may not be possible to offer a subscription garden waste can safely and legally be disposed of at the HWRC.

Q. Will my Garden Waste Collection Day change?

A.Changes may be made to the garden waste collection days to help make the rounds more efficient. No-one will miss a collection and all affected residents will be written to or emailed with details of the changes alongside social media updates.
