Green Home Grants Local Authority Delivery Scheme
We are working with residents to save them money on their utility bills while also helping them to reduce their carbon footprint.
We have secured funding from the Department for Energy, Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) to continue to expand our Green Homes Grants programme aimed at assisting homeowners and landlords to make improvements to the energy efficiency of their properties.
To be eligible for the grants, your property must have an Energy Performance Certificate rating of E, F or G and a household income of less than £36,000 per year. In the case of rental properties, the income eligibility relates to the property's tenants.
The funding is managed by our Climate Change and Environment Team and we would be delighted to hear from homeowners and landlords that would like to take advantage of the scheme. Grants are available to owner occupiers and tenants, however landlords are required to fund one third of the cost of the works themselves or the remaining total once the funding allocation limit has been reached.
We currently have one active grant scheme under the banner of Sustainable Warmth Programme. HUG2 is aimed at properties which are considered to be off-gas grid because they have no available mains gas connection in their area. Properties that are connected to a mains gas link may be eligible for other funding opportunities, we are also working with partners to provide Energy Company Obligation (ECO 4) grants and ECO flex, if you are unsure about which scheme your property fits into, please get in touch.
The previous schemes - LAD3, aimed at properties which do have access to a mains-gas connection and HUG1, aimed at properties without a mains-gas connection - are now closed to new applications. If you have already applied but work has not yet started, please be assured that we will be in contact with you to discuss the progress of your application.
If you have any queries regarding the grant please feel free to contact greenhomesgrants@e-lindsey.gov.uk or call 01507 613573.
