Lifeline service

Lifeline is a 24 hour service that provides a personal alarm system to enable people to live independently in their own home.

Lifeline is not just for the elderly, it can also be used by vulnerable young people, people with disabilities or those just discharged from hospital. Lifeline calls are answered by Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The team are fully trained call handlers and all calls are recorded. The benefits of this service include:

For new customers from April 2024 our Lifeline costs start from as little as £4.35 per week as well as a £38 installation fee, which will provide you with a fully digital Lifeline Unit that meets the new requirements for the new telephone digital network being implemented.

The Digital Telephone switch and how it will affect you

The UK is moving from its existing analogue telephone line system to a new digital network which will use the internet to make and receive phone calls. All the UK's telephone line providers are modernising their systems and are rolling out this change, and plan to switch off the old network for good by the end of December 2025.

The most important thing you can do if you are contacted by your telephone provider or want to upgrade your telephone line is to let them know you have lifeline equipment, and also contact our telecare contractor LHP on 01205 318588 if you intend to change your telephony provider.

LHP can provide you with a digital version of your lifeline for a slightly increased cost. There is a sim card in the digital lifeline that can be used to call us or be a back up to your broadband connection. This is the safest way to send your alarm into our 24/7 monitoring centre, so we can get you help.
