What this Privacy Notice covers

South Holland District Council is the Data Controller responsible for the personal information you may provide in relation to Private Sector Housing. Your data will be processed by Public Sector Partnership Services Ltd (PSPS), formerly known as Compass Point Business Services, a company which is owned and controlled by East Lindsey and South Holland District Councils. Why we need your personal data

We will use your information to process Caravan Site Licences. The legal basis for processing your data is Article 6.1(c) processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject under the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 (as amended by the Mobile Homes Act 2013).

How your data is used

We will use your data to:

  • enable us to carry out specific functions for which we are responsible
  • enable us to assess application for a caravan site licence
  • take any necessary enforcement action.

The categories of information we collect process, hold and share include:

  • personal information (such as name, address, contact information
  • financial transaction details (such as credit/debit card payments).

We may share the information you provide with:

  • The relevant staff within SHDC to process your application
  • Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service
  • HM Land Registry.

We share data with our Council Tax department and HM Land Registry on a statutory basis under the Mobiles Homes Act 2013. This data sharing enables us to assess an applicant's suitability for a licence.

We share data with our Legal Services department to help us fulfil our statutory duties under the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 (as amended). This data sharing enables us to issue a licence.

We share data with Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service on a statutory basis under the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 (as amended). This data sharing enables us to comply with the requirement to consult with the Fire and Rescue authority.

How long the information is kept for

We will only keep your information for the minimum period necessary. The information outlined in this privacy statement will be retained for six years on review.
