What this Privacy Notice covers

South Holland District Council is the Data Controller responsible for the personal information you may provide in relation to the registration of housing applications. Your data will be processed by Public Sector Partnership Services Ltd (PSPS), formerly known as Compass Point Business Services, a company which is owned and controlled by East Lindsey and South Holland District Councils. Why we need your personal data

We will use your information to process applications and assess eligibility for low cost home ownership and shared equity housing. The legal basis for processing your data is Article 6.1(e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

We collect and hold information about you in order to: 

  • assess eligibility and process applications for low cost home ownership and shared equity housing 
  • understand your personal needs and circumstances
  • understand what we can do for you and inform you of any other relevant services and benefits
  • contact you by telephone, email or post.

We will process the following information about you:

  • name date, date of birth and address
  • telephone number/email address
  • household details
  • address history
  • your current housing and housing needs
  • employment details
  • details of your personal finances and salary
  • household income

We may share your information with your solicitors involved with property purchases.

How long the information is kept for

We will keep your information for as long as the application is current and for a period of 6 years afterwards on re-view.
