Tax liability
Self-employed people in financial distress and with outstanding tax liabilities may be eligible to receive support with their tax affairs through HMRC tax payment information (opens new window).
Self-employed statutory sick pay (SSP) eligibility
If you aren't eligible for SSP, for example if you're self-employed or earning below the Lower Earnings Limit and you have COVID-19 or are advised to self-isolate, you can now make a claim for Universal Credit (UC) or new style Employment and Support Allowance:
