Custom and self-build privacy notice

The purpose of collecting custom and self-build data is to identify and manage demand for self-build and custom build projects within the South Holland district. The council takes your privacy very seriously and lawfully process your personal information in our official capacity, fulfilling our legal obligation.

The information provided on this form will be added to the South Holland Custom and Self-Build register and held in line with Data Protection Regulations. 

How we will use your data

The data recorded in the register may be used by the council in the following ways:

Anonymised, collated data from the register may be published by the authority in reports or other publicly accessible material. No data which could reasonably be attributed to an individual on the register will be published without explicit consent.

Subject to explicit consent being received to the relevant questions as part of an individual submission, contact information recorded on the register may be provided to relevant third parties who have been identified as potentially offering appropriate opportunities to deliver self-build housing projects. If you no longer want to be contacted by future relevant third parties, please email hadmin@sholland.gov.uk.

We will use your email or postal address to acknowledge receipt of your registration form.

Your data may be processed by Public Sector Partnership Services Ltd (PSPS) a company which is owned and controlled by East Lindsey and South Holland District Councils. PSPS's Data Protection Officer can be contacted by phone on 01507 613303, via email: performance@cpbs.com, or in writing to Data Protection Officer, Public Sector Partnership Services Ltd, The Hub, Mareham Road, Horncastle, LN9 6PH.

Third party sharing

Please be aware that in registering you are agreeing to your details potentially between shared with neighbouring Local Authorities for the purpose of housing needs research. This is to ensure that your details are not duplicated in any results and provides an accurate reflection of demand in the local area.

How long we'll keep your data

We will retain your details on the register. You can at any time ask us to remove your details from the register by contacting hadmin@sholland.gov.uk.

Your data privacy rights

Under Data Protection Legislation you have the right to request access to, rectification, restriction, or objection to the processing, as detailed on our Data Protection Policy. You can contact our Data Protection Officer on 01775 761161. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office at www.ico.org.uk.
