Bulky waste collection
Bulky waste collection is the collection of large items from domestic premises only. Our bulky waste collection service is available to residential customers only and is not provided for business customers.
Book a bulky waste collection
You can book a bulky waste collection online (opens new window) or by calling 01775 761161.
When booking a bulky waste collection, you can arrange for a maximum of three bulky items to be collected and charges are as follows:
- 1 item = £15
- 2 items = £25
- 3 items = £30
Your bulky waste item(s) need to be placed at the point where you'd normally leave your refuse sacks, no earlier than 6pm the day before collection, and by 6am on the day of collection.
Once you have paid for your bulky waste collection, you'll be advised of the collection date. Generally, collections will be on your normal refuse collection day. If you've booked an item in the special waste category, it will only be collected on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday and the date will be advised to you before you confirm and make a payment.
GLASS: To ensure the health and safety of our collection crews and the general public, when presenting any glass item or an item containing glass, tape must be applied to all glass and / or mirrors. Please tape the glass securely and from corner to corner.
There may be occasions where due to the number of bookings received, we may need to schedule your collection for the following week. Please book early if your removal date is urgent.
Payment of a bulky waste collection must be made at the time of booking. The charge for this service is non-refundable any requests for a refund will be dealt with on a case by case basis and once a booking request has been made, it cannot be altered.
Please be aware that that we cannot remove items from inside your property. If there is no one in your household who is able to move the items out to where you normally leave your refuse sacks, please tell us this when booking. We will then be able to consider your case individually and possibly arrange for you to complete a disclaimer to allow us to collect the item from a more convenient place. Alternatively, you may have a neighbour, friend or family member that could help you.
