Tenants Portal account help

Whether you're a new or existing Housing customer of South Holland District Council, this page details how you can register online to view your personal housing account on our Tenants Portal.

To help you register, or re-register, for a Tenants Portal account, please follow the instructions given on this page.


Existing customers will need to re-register to be able to login and use the Tenants Portal. Existing customers are:

  • current tenants of South Holland District Council, or
  • customers who've already completed an application for council housing and/or are on the Housing Register.

    New customers will need to register to create an online Tenants Portal account. New customers are those who:

    • don't have a tenancy with South Holland District Council, and
    • aren't on the housing register.

    Create a Tenants Portal account - existing customer

    • Go to the existing tenants and applicants online registration (opens new window)
    • When accessing your Tenants Portal account for the first time, you will need:
      • email address - please ensure you use a valid email address that you can access and use throughout the registration process. The email address you use will be the username to login to your Tenants Portal account.
      • password - you'll be prompted to create a password.

    The above details are needed to check against our internal records upon registration.

    When registering to access your account for the first time, you'll receive a verification email that contains a link to complete your registration. Please note: the link within the email will expire after one hour.

    Once you've registered and logged in to your account, you'll be prompted to enter the following details:

    • For existing tenants of South Holland, you'll need to enter your:
      • payment reference - this is the reference number that identifies your rent account. This 7-digit number can be found on your rent statements. If you need help with your payment reference number, please contact your Housing Officer.
      • first and last name, as well as your Date of Birth.
    • For existing customers already on the Housing Register in South Holland, you'll need to enter your:
      • application reference / bidding number - this is the reference number you were given when you submitted a housing application.
      • first and last name, as well as your Date of Birth.

    When you've completed registration and logged in to your account, you'll be prompted to accept the terms of agreement. To read the terms, please select the 'terms' button. To agree the terms, please select the checkbox and then the 'finish' button. 

    Create a Tenants Portal account - new customer

    • Go to the new customer online registration (opens new window)
    • When registering for a new Tenants Portal account, you will need:
      • email address - please use a valid email address that you can access and use throughout the registration process. The email address you use will be the username to login to your new Tenants Portal account.
      • password - you'll be prompted to create a password.

     

    When creating an account, you'll receive a verification email that contains a link to complete your registration. Please note: the link within the email will expire after one hour.

    Once you've created and logged in to your new account, you'll be prompted to accept the terms of agreement. To read the terms, please select the 'terms' button. To agree the terms, please select the checkbox and then the 'finish' button.
