Immigration Inspections
Immigration Inspection Fee
In order to obtain an entry visa to the UK, in certain circumstances it is necessary for a property inspection to be carried out. This is to determine if the property that is proposed to be used to house the new arrival(s) is suitable.
Due to the lack of suitably qualified professionals available to undertake these inspections, South Holland District Council has agreed to undertake these inspections where requested.
As this is not a statutory function of the Council, it has been deemed appropriate to recover the costs of doing so from the person requesting the inspection. The Council also reserve the right to carry out inspections at our convenience or to decline to carry out an inspection where the demands of the service dictate this.
South Holland District Council has determined that an amount of £120 will be charged for the inspections and associated administration.
No inspection will be carried out until the appropriate fee has been paid.
Please email housingstandards@sholland.gov.uk or telephone 01775 761161 for further information or to request an inspection.
