Queen's Platinum Jubilee, lighting of the Beacon.

On Thursday 2nd June at Ayscoughfee Hall Gardens in Spalding, hundreds gathered to watch the Lighting of the Beacon for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Chairman, Councillor Paul Redgate, gave a heartfelt speech, and said what an honour it was to be a part of an incredible moment in history. Musician Pawel (17), played the fanfare before the Chairman lit the Beacon, with the 1406 (Spalding) Squadron Air Cadets present to salute the event.
