Photography at events or in public spaces
If you have featured in official South Holland District Council photographs or videos you have the right to object to the re-use at any time. To do so, contact our Data Protection Officer at: DPO@sholland.gov.uk
The photography/ videos will be used for the purpose of promoting, or documenting activities involving South Holland District Council or our partners and may appear online, in print and on social media. This may involve sharing your image with third parties including other local authorities and the media where legally allowed. This is in line with our public task, and also as part of our legitimate interests.
If your photo has been used in printed material, objecting to its reuse will mean that it is not used in any future publications or publicity, and will be removed from our websites where possible.
Should you not wish to have your image taken whilst at a South Holland District Council event or space please speak to a member of staff. Official Council media or photographers can be identified by clearly marked uniform or tabards.
Retention Period
The source photos and videos will be kept for a period of 2 years from the date of collection. Photos once placed online may be available from other sources for an indeterminate period of time.
