Remembrance Sunday
The Chairman and his Lady attended the Remembrance Sunday Event on 12th November.
The Veterans paraded from the Market Place to Ayscoughfee Gardens, where a two minutes' silence was held at 11 o'clock, followed by the service and wreaths of poppies laid on memorials, as the nation remembered all those from the UK and across the Commonwealth, who died serving their country.
The Spalding Choir performed some songs, alongside pipers, drummers and buglers.
After the event, refreshments were served at the Priory Road Council Offices, which was well attended.
Our Vice-Chairman, Jan Whitbourn organised the three events that were held at Springfields, Ayscoughfee and Weston Hills, with donations from Councillor ward budgets. Jan said she was grateful for all the help and support, which enables her to continue to put on these events and keep the parades alive for the future.
