Mencap Christmas Party

The Chairman, Councillor Andrew Woolf attended the annual Mencap Christmas Party on Sunday 10th December at the Servicemen's Club in Spalding.

The event was well attended with the Mencap members and their carers, the Chairman presented the Manager of Mencap Nigel Taylor with £550 that the Chairman had raised for Mencap by holding various fundraising events.

The members of Mencap enjoyed dancing to music provided by Gizmo DJ and a lunch was enjoyed by all.

Mencap Christmas Party 2

The event was supported by Councillor Glynis Scalese, who organised the event and all the amazing raffle prizes, Councillor Gary Taylor and Councillor Margaret Geaney.

Santa made an appearance much to the delight of the Mencap members who all received a gift.

The raffle and auction raised just under £600 for Mencap.

Councillor Scalese thanked everyone who donated table decorations and raffle prizes that helped to make a successful event.
