TENANT SURVEY - LIVE

We recognise that our tenants should have a key role in influencing our decision making about the housing services they receive. We are working with TPAS, an external organisation, to understand views on how we can improve and provide a better experience for you in the future.

Your views are important and we would love to hear them. We are launching a survey to find out more about what is important to you. As a thank you for taking part in our short survey, you will be added to a prize draw to win £50 worth of shopping vouchers at a supermarket of your choice.

Have your say, share your feedback and help us shape the services we provide to you.

You can access the online survey here 'Influencing SHDC Landlord Services' the survey will close on 25th August 2024. If you require a paper copy please phone 01775761161.

Tenant Census - Spring/Summer 2023

The census is now complete.  We would like to thank tenants for their support with completing this vital piece of work.

We are pleased to say that we received 2607 responses, which equates to 70% of our households.  This piece of work will help us to update our records and make sure we are providing the right services to tenants and that your needs are properly met. A summary of the responses can be found here.

Our prize draw has been completed and the winning households have been contacted.

Right to Manage

The Right to Manage offers tenants the option to form a Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) which allows tenants to take over responsibility for managing housing services, such as repairs, caretaking, and rent collection from their landlord.  As part of a TMO the members are unpaid volunteers who want to improve the quality of people's lives by taking on more responsibility for local services.  Further information about the Right to Manage is provided in the government guidance - Right to Manage guidance.
