Cowbit Charity Quiz Night
Cowbit Village Hall was the venue for the Chairman's Cowbit Charity Quiz Night, held on the 16th February 2024.
The event was organised by Darren Harper along with Marcus Pell, who was also the Quiz Master for the evening. The village really supported the Quiz, with every table full of keen quizzers hoping to be triumphant.
Marcus had prepared 8 rounds, with a veriety of questions, including a picture and music round which both went down well with the guests.
Teams paid £5 per person to enter, with all proceeds being donated to the Chairman's chosen charities, Blood cancer and Mencap. Councillor Glynis Scalese
attended as the Mencap representative, and although did not win, really enjoyed the event.
The winners of the 1st Chairman's Cowbit Quiz was Piston Brake, winning some chocolates and their entry fee back, which they very kindly donated back to the charities.
Darren provided a pop up bar with donations of beverages and snacks provided by Colin from the local Cowbit Village Store.
The Chairman, Councillor Andrew Woolf, thanked everyone for all their help, support and generousity, especially Darren and Marcus who gave up their time to put on a fun evening for residents, resulting in an amazing £585 being raised for the Chairman's Charities.
