Chairman's Bake Off Event

The Chairman hosted his Cake Bake Off Competition at the South Holland Centre on the 30th March 2024.

Entrants were asked to bring their cakes/bakes to the SHC Function Hall from 10am on Saturday morning to set up their creations and dress their table. Matty the Winner of GBBO 2023 arrived at 11am to judge the cakes along with the Chairman and Julie from Flowers 'n' Things.

Matty and the judges took their time tasting and talking to the 17 entrants, who had baked and created amazing cakes for the competition. The standard was incredibly high and it was difficult to choose the winners.

The Chairman awarded a specially designed Bake Off apron and plaque to each of the 3 winners with a voucher for a cream tea for two kindly donated by Flowers ' n ' Things.

The cakes were then sold by Jason and his 8 year old daughter Daisy, who kindly offered to sell the slices of cakes to raise funds for the Chairman's two charities, Blood cancer and Mencap.

The Chairman would like to personally thank everyone who entered the competition and for donating their bakes to raise funds for the Chairman's charities.
