Chairman's Charity Ball

 The Chairman of South Holland District Council, Councillor Andrew Woolf and his Lady Wendy Woolf hosted the Chairman's Charity Ball on the 20th April 2024 at Springfields Event Centre in the Marquee Suite.

The event was attended by 160 guests, including family and friends, Councillors, Civic Heads and local businesses, along with the Spalding Lions and representative from the Chairman's Charities, Alannah from Blood cancer UK and Glynis from Mencap.

The style of the room was very classic with a purple and black theme, and the event opened with a drinks reception, sponsored by Moore Thompson Chartered Accountants, and the Ukuele Orchestra playing and singing some well known tunes.

The Vice-Chairman, Councillor Jan Whitbourn welcomed the Chairman and his Lady. The Chairman gave a welcome speech and introduced the representatives from both Charities who gave heartfelt moving speeches on the representative Charities.

Springfields served an excellent three course meal, and table wine was provided and sponsored by Simon Barker Plumbing and Heating.

Shaun Neal provided some great entertainment throughout the evening, including Heads and Tails and Music Bingo which was enjoyed by all.

Louise Ellis from Wild One photography took an array of pictures, capturing some wonderful moments.

The Chairman thanked all who attended, and expressed special thanks to everyone for their donations and sponsorship, culminating in raising  over £4000 for the Charities  on the evening.

The event was then turned over to Shaun Neal entertainments, who provided a faboulous disco, getting all the guests up on the dance floor.

The Chairman would like to again thank everyone who attended and contributed to make the evening a great success.
