Spalding Business Improvement District (BID)

A Business Improvement District has been established in Spalding; this is a business led initiative to improve the BID area (a defined area of Spalding town centre), by using funds raised by placing a levy on all businesses in the defined area of Spalding.  To find out more details about the BID, its area, the levy and the aims of the BID company please follow this link to the Spalding BID website.

South Holland District Council (SHDC) collects the levy on behalf of the BID company, but the BID company will disperse the funds according to their business plan.  The bills will be sent to the same address as business rate bills.  In order to issue the levy bills and collect the monies due SHDC will contract Public Sector Partnership Services Limited (PSPS) to carry out this process.  PSPS is acting on behalf of SHDC to collect the fund and in doing so needs to collect data on behalf of the Council for this purpose.

The levy is charged every year, with the levy bills being issued at the end of January for payment within 14 days.  Details of how the levy can be paid can be found on the bill.

If you fail to pay the levy the process for non-payment of business rates will be followed which can be found here.
