Spring into Spalding

South Holland District Council is excited to announce the family-friendly, fun-filled events and activities planned for the upcoming year, including family events, multi-day activities, and much more!

All the events are created with the idea of bringing our community together and providing memorable experiences for everyone who attends, see below the list of events that we are proud to announce are happening in 2025, with more to follow:

  • 29 March: Spring into Spalding (Spalding Town Centre)
  • 5-19 April: Easter bunny trail (Crowland and Holbeach Town Centre)
  • 14 May: Wellbeing in the wilderness (Ayscoughfee Gardens)
  • 30 June-13 July: Tennis activities for all (Ayscoughfee Gardens)
  • 28 July: Love Parks Week (Cowbit)
  • 29 July: Love Parks Week (Deeping St Nicholas)
  • 30 July: Love Parks Week (Sutton Bridge)
  • 31 July: Love Parks Week (Pinchbeck)
  • 10 August: Give it a go (Holbeach)
  • 4 October: Pumpkin Festival (Spalding Town Centre)
  • 24 October-2 November: Scarecrow Trail (Spalding Town Centre)
  • 28 November: Christmas Light Switch On (Spalding Town Centre)
  • Throughout December: Christmas Town Trails (Donington and Long Sutton town Centres)

With the return of the successful Spring into Spalding at the end of March, we are thrilled to announce that Council Chairman Andrew Woolf will be hosting the Bake Off competition again after popular demand. We will be welcoming back for the second time Matty Edgell who won the Great British Bake Off 2023 to assist the Chairman in his judging of the competition, after they did such a wonderful job last year.

Councillor Gary Taylor, Portfolio Holder for Community Development for South Holland District Council, said: "I am delighted to see all the amazing upcoming events that are happening within our district for the upcoming year!

"I highly encourage everyone to make the most of these opportunities to have a fun family day out in our local towns supporting our local businesses and engaging in community spirit."

The Communities team at South Holland District Council will also be supporting various other events throughout the year.
