Chairman's Quiz Night - Cowbit Village Hall

The Chairman hosted a Charity Quiz Night at Cowbit Village Hall on Saturday 15 February 2025.

The Village Hall was full with eager quizzers and it was great to see the village supporting the Chairman's event. Tables were full with guests bringing picnic foods to snack on during the evening. Chris provided a pop up bar, which sold out,  and thank you to Colin from the Cowbit store for providing the drinks and snacks for the event.

Marcus  Pell, as before did a fantastic quiz and delivered it with style and humour adding to the entertainment of the evening.

There was friendly banter and competition to find out which team came out on top.

The winners were ' The Wash Outs' with a score of 168 and they were presented with a hamper which had been kindly made and provided by Marcus and Claire.

The Chairman, Councillor Andrew Woolf, provided a raffle for the event, and was very grateful for the additional raffle gifts that were donated.

With the atmosphere and the brilliant quiz, and the generosity of all the guests, the event raised £367 for the Chairman's chosen charities, Blood cancer UK and Mencap.

The Chairman specifically wanted to thank Darren Harper for allowing the use of the village hall and  all his help and time promoting the quiz night and setting up the room for the event. Marcus for providing such a great entertaining quiz and for all his help and emails before the night, and Claire for all her support and for making up the winners hamper.
