More than 140K has been awarded to 13 community focused projects in South Holland from Lincolnshire Community Foundation's GRASSroots Grants.
The fund, which has been funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund, has already awarded grants to more than 150 projects across South & East Lincolnshire since it began in July 2023.
The total investment, including match funding, that has been made in parish councils, village halls and small community projects across all communities in South Holland has now exceeded, in total, £1million.
This latest round of awards has been made possible through efficiency savings realised in the management of current UKSPF/REPF contracts.
A total of £142,305 has been awarded to a combination of parishes, village halls and community projects:
Gedney Hill Parish Council - Installation of park benches and football goal posts.
Moulton Community Association - Replacement of flooring and storage cupboards within a key community facility.
Springfields Horticultural Society - New, strong and taller fencing at Springfields Festival Gardens to reduce incidents of vandalism, graffiti and damage to plants and garden infrastructure such as benches and sculptures.
CASL (Citizens Advice Service Lincolnshire - Spalding) - Upgrade of IT infrastructure.
Whaplode Village Hall - Purchase of new chairs to be used in the hall.
Moulton Windmill - Purchase of replacement windows, new heaters and a replacement coffee machine.
Gedney Hill & District Memorial Hall - Purchase and installation of a projector, screen and fixtures at the hall.
Crowland Leisure Centre - Upgrading and expanding the equipment in the gym to enhance the overall experience and effectiveness for those using them.
Gosberton Youth Club - Installation of disabled toilets.
Sutton Bridge Parish Council - Refurbishment of multi-play unit and seesaw at Sutton Bridge Memorial Park.
Tonic Health - Purchase of an interactive projector-based exercise system to be used across community facilities in rural South Holland, in support of getting more people active while running community sessions focused on sport and physical activity.
Cinder Ash Pre-School, Long Sutton - Septic tank and bathroom works to support ongoing viability of this facility.
Crowland Parish Council - 20 new bins for the conservation area of Crowland to improve the appearance of the area and reduce littering.
Councillor Paul Redgate, portfolio holder for Finance at South Holland District Council, said: "I am so pleased that we have been able to support even more projects across the district through this UKSPF funded scheme.
"Throughout this first phase of UKSPF, which began in 2023, we have been able to ensure funding has reached areas of South Holland which, historically, have been left behind, meaning every community has a chance to thrive.
"Having seen the results of the many projects LCF GRASSroots has already supported with grants, I know what can be achieved when such projects are given the helping hand that they need to grow and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next."
