The South Holland Centre is set to begin offering a reduced ticket price for those under the age of 16.

The entertainment venue in Spalding offers a wide range of films for movie fans of all ages, which provides an enjoyable day out in the town centre. Recent films shown at the South Holland Centre aimed at families include Moana 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Mufasa: The Lion King and Paddington in Peru, as well as others for grown-ups.

This change is intended to encourage young people and families with children to visit Spalding's town centre more often, with every film available at the South Holland Centre being reduced to £5 for an under-16 ticket.

The reduced prices will be introduced from Tuesday 1 April 2025. Please note that these offers apply to general release screenings only, and not to special screenings, such as National Theatre Live productions.

Some of the first films to offer the discount to under-16's will be Captain America: Brave New World, Flow, The Sloth Lane and Mickey 17, which will all be on screen doing April. Only films certified as suitable for those 15 or under will have the option to purchase the new under-16 tickets.

While proof of age is not required to use under-16 tickets, the South Holland Centre staff reserve the right to ask for proof if the ticket holder appears to be over the age of 16.

Cllr Henry Bingham, Portfolio Holder for Assets and Strategic Planning, said: "I am delighted that we are able to offer this discount to families in the local area.

"It is important to the Council and the South Holland Centre that Spalding Town Centre is an attractive place for residents to visit, and reduced prices for film tickets for under-16's is a great step in this direction.

"I encourage anyone who can take advantage of the upcoming discounts to do so, for hours of entertainment that supports to local community."

All upcoming films and live shows can be found and booked on the South Holland Centre's website - https://www.southhollandcentre.co.uk/whats-on
