Contaminated land

We have a contaminated land strategy in accordance with Part 2a of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. We also support the planning department providing specialist advice relating to land contamination.

Support with land contamination is available through:

• the planning process - we ensure developments are 'suitable for use' and 'safe'
• pre-application advice
• environmental searches during property transactions
• our statutory responsibilities under Part 2a of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

There is currently no land statutory designated as 'contaminated land' in the South Holland area.
