Street cleaning
Street cleaning is the action of removing street litter, by sweeping affected areas in the South Holland district.
- If you need to report a road that is in need of sweeping due to accumulation of leaves or litter, please report it here report a street that needs cleaning.
- To report mud on the road, please call Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) on 01522 782070 who are open Monday to Friday, from 8am until 6pm. In an emergency always dial 999.
When contacting us or LCC, you will be asked which road needs attention and whether the footpath is also in need of sweeping. An inspection will take place and the necessary action taken.
Please note: South Holland District Council is not the Highway Authority for this area. We only have responsibility for street cleaning. Any complaints about the condition of roads should be made to Lincolnshire County Council (opens new window).
Each request is usually dealt with within 24 working hours, although this may vary depending on the number of requests we receive. Town centre streets must be swept within 6 working hours, residential areas and other roads within 4 weeks. If the standard of cleanliness of your road causes concern, then please report it.
