Ayscoughfee Gardens

Ayscoughfee Hall rear view

Ayscoughfee Gardens are open from dawn until dusk every day of the year except Christmas Day. Ayscoughfee Gardens has something to offer all ages.

The 5 acres of Ayscoughfee Gardens beautifully complement historic Ayscoughfee Hall Museum, and feature a Yew Tree walk dating back to the 1720s. The Ornamental Lake is headed by a grade I listed War Memorial designed by the architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, while hidden to the rear of the gardens is the Ice House which originally served the Hall's kitchens.

The Peace Garden offers a more contemporary theme, featuring plaques commemorating recent conflicts and the regiments who served in them.

For the more active, facilities include: hard surface tennis courts, a bowling green and putting green. Tickets for these are available from the Pavilion.

The Gardens also contain a children's playground and Ayscoughfee Cafe, providing welcome refreshments to our visitors all year round!
