Right to Buy
Tenants of council properties can apply to purchase their home through the Right to Buy scheme, subject to eligibility. The Right to Buy scheme website (opens new window) gives information about buying a council property, how to check if you are eligible, advice on affordability and how to apply.
If you've been a council tenant for more than three years you may be eligible to buy your home at a discounted rate under the scheme. Please note that we can't provide the price of your home or know if you are eligible without a completed application. To apply to buy your home, you will need to:
- complete the Right to Buy application form (opens new window), and
- also complete the Right to Buy declaration form (PDF) [104KB] (opens new window) , then
- return the completed forms to us by post or email:
