Appoint someone to speak to the Council about your tenancy
You can appoint someone to deal with the Council about your tenancy on your behalf (known as 'third party authority').
For example, you can appoint a family member to speak to us about matters relating to your tenancy including:
- Pay your rent.
- Request a repair for your home.
Appoint someone
We'll need the nominated person's contact details, address and their date of birth. We use this to verify their identity when they contact us. Complete the third party form online. Contact us by phoning 01775 761161 or emailing hadmin@sholland.gov.uk if you would like a form posting to you.
You only need to complete this form if you would like somebody else to speak to the Council in the long term. If it's just a one-off, call us on 01775 761161 - the person helping you must be with you when you call so we can verify their identity.
After you have completed the form
Within 5 working days, we'll call you to confirm that you have given your consent. We will confirm changes have been made to you in writing.
How to withdraw your consent
Contact us by phoning 01775 761161 or emailing hadmin@sholland.gov.uk if you would like to withdraw your consent. We will confirm changes have been made to you in writing.
